Outplacement services provide career transition and redundancy support for employees leaving an organisation, helping them find their next role. Support typically includes one-to-one career coaching, CV and LinkedIn help, interview preparation, job-search strategy and access to career technology, for a single individual or whole teams affected by restructuring.
Outplacement firms, agencies and career transition companies vary widely. Some run high-touch, technology-light programmes for senior leaders (executive outplacement); others provide scalable digital platforms for large-scale redundancies; many do both. Which suits you depends on the seniority of the people leaving, how many there are, and your timescale and budget.
Compare outplacement providers across the UK by service level, seniority supported, delivery model and independent ratings. Most support is delivered remotely and works nationally, so you are not limited to firms in your own city, though you can use the city filter to find providers based in a specific area.
For executive outplacement in London, or outplacement in Birmingham and the Midlands, use the city filter to see providers based in London, Birmingham or elsewhere. If face-to-face sessions matter to you, it is worth asking each provider where its consultants are based, since that is not always the same place as its head office.
Fair visibility: provider results are rotated to avoid favouring companies based on alphabetical order. Why?
CompareHQ rotates provider results to give eligible providers fair visibility, instead of ranking them alphabetically. The order changes once a day and is the same for everyone that day. Paid listing tiers can affect visibility as described in our Comparison methodology; within any given tier, order is rotated fairly rather than by company name. As CompareHQ develops, results may also incorporate objective matching criteria based on a buyer's requirements.
